Misaeng (An Incomplete Life) Review: Dreary Office Life Never Hurt so Good.

Well that was a beautifully crafted nightmare (and I wouldn’t have it any other way).  Seriously though, I’m so glad they didn’t “K-dramatize” this web-toon adaptation.  I was worried from the light n’ frothy faux-angst the previews made the show out to be.  Don’t get me wrong, such shows are certainly in my wheelhouse, but if TV shows were a meal then I shan’t be only consuming sweets and soju for all my nourishment needs. Diabetes runs in my family y’all*

Instead this show represents a lovely steak.  One that is so rich you must chew carefully and fully embrace the textured flavors….(Sorry not sorry to all those vegetarians out there). Okay enough food metaphors (especially since I literally had almonds mixed with yogurt for for dinner).

Let’s get down and dirty into the life of a newbie corporate drone!

Surplus Princess Review: Ridiculous but oh so WTF Fun

Due to this Summer’s rom comissance, I told myself I wouldn’t have time for yet another show, even one with one episode per week and/or one where I could finally figure out the internet’s fascination with Song Jae Rim (Nail Shop Paris).  Well when the time came for me to do something other than to literally watch paint dry (nails of course, almost like SJR subliminal advertising), I figured why not watch 46 minutes of horrible effects, cringey plot contrivances and the one mermaid who must employ or bust.

Well hold onto your scales folks, cause this crazy chick has drunk the once thought fishy, Ocean Spray flavored Kool-aid and mama is in like fin.

I Watched So You Don’t Have To: June Drama Premiers – Savvy Trot Gunman

Joseon Gunman Trot Lovers

So this last drama cycle should be deemed a  disappointment, with no crazy successes (MLFTS), cult obsessions (SLA), or even so bad/crazy its good (God’s Gift, though for a couple weeks Doc Stranger was vying. Then the complete suckiness took hold).  So with the next cycle gearing up, I figured I would try watching the first weeks worth and deduce the critical and popular reaction.  Then three months later we can all see how wrong I’ll be, Yay!  I will try to keep everything organized so people can use this as a guide if need be.
