Beautiful Men for a Beautiful Game part 2: Clear Eyes, Hot Bods, Can’t Lose. (Updated)

To continue my non television related hokum, I will talk a little more about men in shorts.. (Spoiler Alert) They. Are. Great.

I mean soccer brings “da feelz” out of people/athletes in ways that are quite rare in our society.  Perhaps because the sport seems operatic on some level.  The intermingling of power and finesse, players moving harmoniously, all while spectators take it all in, holding our breath for the exciting climax…  Best opera ever right? Another reason for its greatness can be summed up in the oddly appropriate adage “It’s not over till the fat lady sings”.  Boy has that been the case this cup.  But I’m not writing to post about match specifics (though I still mourn the loss of Mexico, Nigeria, and the US’s tough exits), Instead, I will showcase the moments, emotions, (and yes hotness) through it’s purest form —  The slightly doctored photograph.

Coffee Prince Photo – Find all the Coffee Princes!

So basically I was looking at the Coffee Prince website and noticed all the different types of logos for the stores… So I added some to this picture and voila! Instant game for those who want to pass 2 minutes of time.  There are 11 logos in all (2 of which are in Korean), and click on the image to enlarge. Happy hunting.

Video Variety – Hard Hitting Journalism Edition: Yeo Chi (Jung Ryeo-Won) Interviews Britney Spears

Thank God for the internet as this one is quite the magnificent mess. This “interview” featuring what I will guess as a pre-fame (aka MLSS) Jung Ryeo-Won (sporting a delightful Aussie accent btw) and a pre-shaved head/umbrella fighting champion Spears. (little context was given but I’d figure it was around 2003?).
I mean where to begin??? For starters I still haven’t managed to watch in its entirety due to embarrassment. Mostly on my end but this whole thing is just so gloriously awkward, much in the way that cringe comedies dare you to look away from the screen.

Top 5 – Reasons I started this blog

5. To feed my insatiable appetite for K-Dramas and the television medium.

4. To give me an excuse to make top five lists (inspired by film of my life, High Fidelity)

3. Because it’s not like anyone thought of this before. http://outsideseoul.blogspot.com/2012/08/kdrama-linkapoloza.html

2. Though K-Dramas have taken up the majority of my viewing habits as of late, English speaking shows (aka only shows where I don’t need subtitles… mostly) have been my primary time suck since Oceanic flight 815 survivors landed on an polar bear infested island… So during that past decade, the medium known as TV has changed a wee bit, K-dramas included. You could say I explore this, the commonalities of US and Korean television, and basically go all Venn diagram on this bitch topic.

1. Because sometimes I gotta get the feel good inc.™ out, whether it be the daily bathing routine of Hyun Bin – Lather (in my sexiness). Rinse (clothes, hair optional). Smolder. Repeat smolder only with side of soulful brooding. ..Image
Or perhaps learning the proper drowning technique from swimming champ Jan-Di.Image                                                 … and maybe on those rare occasions put what I call my analytical mind cap on to talk about television using big kids words, but who are we kidding its mostly soulful brooding. Mmmmmmmm soulful brooding.
